Listen to ‘Under You’ now and make plans to catch Foo Fighters’ ‘Preparing Music For Concerts’ on Sunday!
“Under You” captures more of the ‘therapy through music’ vibe that likely served as Dave Grohl’s engine following the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins and his mother Virginia Grohl just a few months apart in 2022. It’s a happy-sounding rock track but lyrically he’s working through some heavy stuff. Find the full song at the bottom of this blog.
They coupled a livestream announcement with the brand new song! Some quick time zone math reveals a 2PM CDT start time for us, locally. During the performances, will we finally learn the identity of Foo Fighters’ new drummer? Or since the livestream was filmed at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606, will our theory that he’s the drummer on the new album finally be confirmed?
If you miss the Sunday 2PM livestream, the show will be available on demand through Wednesday May 24. That night, Foo Fighters will take the stage in New Hampshire for the start of their 2023 dates. That show will also be, excluding the all-star Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert shows from last fall, the first Foo Fighters concert since Taylor passed.
Veeps, the site hosting the livestream, is owned by Joel and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte fame.
